Sunday, Dec. 18th, 2005 (Day 1)

Buenos Aires, Argentina to Montevideo, Uruguay

Morning- Take ferry from Buenos Aires (2.5 hour ride) to Montevideo. Specific time of arrival TBA.
Afternoon- Charity event and fun ride along the coastal roads of Rambla Gran Bretana and Rambla Francia with local non-profit partners and anyone who wants to join!
Evening- Fundraising event at the Bar Lobizon. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit partners, dinner and drinks, live music, tango dancing, and a video and slide presentations. Enjoy the evening!


Monday, Dec. 19th, 2005 (Day 2)

Montevideo to Atlantida (41 km)
(Thru Barra de Carrasco, Lagomar, Solymar, El Pinar and Salinas)
Morning- Ride east along the coast from Montevideo to Atlantida.
Afternoon- Give a “Seeds of Change” presentation at the Atlantida elementary school. Presentation will include: A video and slide shows, an interactive skit by the Odyssey team, tandem rides on the Odyssey bikes, games, and giveaways from the One World Odyssey and our sponsors.
Evening- Enjoy a cultural exchange program at the school, followed by an ‘international dinner’ with teachers, students and their families.


Tuesday, Dec. 20th, 2005 (Day 3)

Atlantida to Punta del Este (76 km)
(Thru San Luis, Solis, Piriapolis and Portozuelo)
Morning- Ride east along the coast from Atlantida to Punta de Este.
Afternoon-
Surfing event with local non-profit partners and the One World Odyssey. Event will include tandem surfing rides with the Odyssey team, a beach clean-up, soccer or frisbee, music and a picnic lunch.
Evening-
Fundraising event at the Punta News, a fashionable nightspot along the Rambla Batlle Pacheco. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit partners, dinner and drinks, live music, and video and slide presentations. Enjoy the evening!


Wednesday, Dec. 21st, 2005 (Day 4)

Punta del Este to La Paloma (108 km)
(Thru San Rafael, La Barra de Maldonado, Santa Monica, Faro Jose Ignacio, La Caracola, Santa Rita and Sauce de Rocha)
Morning- Ride north-east along the coast from Punta del Este to La Paloma. Stop for surf and lunch along the way.
Afternoon- Pre-planned soccer game on the beach with the local community.
Evening- Enjoy an evening out in La Paloma.


Thursday, Dec. 22nd, 2005 (Day 5)

Day of Rest in La Paloma
Morning- Visit children in the La Paloma orphanage. Take them for rides on the tandem bikes and have giveaways.
Afternoon- Visit Laguna de Roche, an ecological reserve just 10km west of the La Paloma. Check out the surf in around La Paloma.
Evening- Invite the community to join us for an 'international dinner' at the One World Odyssey campsite.


Friday, Dec. 23rd, 2005 (Day 6)

La Paloma to Aguas Dulces (50 km)

(Thru Costa Azul, La Pedrera, Punta Rubia, San Antonio, Valizas and Atlantica)
Morning- Ride from La Paloma to Aguas Dulces.
Afternoon- Give a “Seeds of Change” presentation at the Aguas Dulces secondary school. Presentation will include a video and slide show, an interactive skit by the Odyssey team, educational games, rides on the tandem bikes and giveaways.
Evening- Cultural exchange program with students, followed by traditional dinner with teachers, students and their families.


Saturday, Dec. 24rd, 2005 (Day 7)

Aguas Dulces to Santa Teresa (45 km)

(Thru Castillos and Angostura)
Morning- Ride from Aguas Dulces to Santa Teresa.
Afternoon- Tandem surfing event with disabled children in La Paloma. Share a picnic lunch on the beach with children and their families.
Evening- Invite the local community for an 'international dinner' and celebration at our campsite.


Sunday, Dec. 25th, 2005 (Day 8)

Day of rest in Santa Teresa
Morning/Afternoon- Enjoy the uncrowded beaches and renowned surfing around Santa Teresa. Give tandem surfing rides for children and adults and enjoy a picnic lunch on the beach.
Evening- Event at the Santa Teresa Community Center. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a short video about the Odyssey's adventure Uruguay, and a substantial check donation to our non-profit partner organizations, live music, dinner & dancing, and giveaways.


Monday, Dec. 26th, 2005 (Day 9)

Drive from Santa Teresa to Porto Alegre (493 km)
(Thru Punta de la Coronilla, La Coronilla, Las Maravillas, Barra del Chuy, Barra do Chui, Santa Vitoria do Palmar, Curral Alto, Talm, Sarandi, Quinta, Pelotas, Bonito, Sentinela do Sul and Guaiba)
Morning- Drive from Santa Teresa through the Uruguayan city of Chuy and cross the border into Brazil's Chui.
Afternoon- Begin the lengthly drive to the capital of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil's most southern state), Porto Alegre.
Evening- Relax and explore the nightlife of Porto Alegre.
