The expedition focuses on what
we call the "true spirit of sports". This is the
same spirit we we enjoyed when we were kids. As kids, we did
not care about winning. We just wanted to play. That's the
spirit we are talking about.
Most of our sports are non-competitive, outdoor adventure
sports. Of course, we'll play some relaxing golf, snorkel
peaceful bays, do yoga and play indoors too. But The Odyssey
is about getting people together playing like kids outside,
connected to the power of Mother Nature, being healthy and
creating new friends from around the world.
Our main sports are:

1. Bicycle Touring:
We'll ride just about every day as our primary form
of transportation. We have four
tandem bikes to connect people from different lands
together in a magical harmony that can't be described;
it must be experienced. |

2. Surfing: We'll have four tandem
surfboards allowing one or two people to catch waves
and connect to the flow of the ocean. For us, it's not
about the biggest waves. It's not about the tubes or
cutbacks or tricks. It's about the soul of surfing.
It's about sharing that unforgettable experience of
riding a wave that has traveled thousands of miles to
meet you. For those feeling a bit timid, we'll have
boogie boards to get your feet wet. |

3. Mountain Biking: Our tandems
turn to single mountain bikes! So if we find some trails
we want to ride we can change from tandem to single
and tear it up! Mountain biking is not a competition,
but a bonding experience with fellow riders and with
mother nature. We love it. You'll love it. Let's hit
the trails! |

4. Soccer (Futbul): We will carry
a portable soccer field consisting of rope for lines,
two collapsible goals and nets, and a few balls. We'll
even have a referee jersey for kicks. The world is crazy
about soccer and so are we! Game on! |

4. Tandem Kayaking: There's something
about paddling with a friend in unison, talking softly
as you check out the sights and smells of nature. It's
magical. We've got a few inflatable kayaks for both
white water and river kayaking so let's paddle together! |

5. Rock Climbing & Bouldering:
One of our favorite ways to get people outside bonding
and connecting with nature! Climbing also builds trust--whether
it's spotting a buddy bouldering or being belayed by
a new friend. It's an integral part of the Intercultural
Adventure! We've got shoes, harnesses, rope and top
roping gear so take us to your favorite spots--we'll
camp out and get dirty together! |

8. Yoga:
Kylie is an amazing yoga teacher and will lead regular
classes before and after our sports to calm the mind,
increase strength and flexibility and help us all concentrate.
Yoga does wonders for both mind and body so come on
out! |

6. Golf: Where else can you get
away for an entire morning or afternoon together outside
with a friend to build a friendship and work on your
patience, concentration, and focus? We're bringing just
one set of clubs, but we can share and hack it up together.

8. Other Sports: Frisbee golf is
a blast. Hackie sacks and juggling balls are pretty
fun too. We'll also have skim boards and skateboards.
Oh, and we won't say no if you invite us to go wakeboarding
or sailing. Got some diving and snorkeling gear? We're
in! We're keen for anything. We'll share our toys if
you'll share yours. |
