Friday, Feburary 24th, 2006 (Day 1)

Arica, Chile to Tacna, Peru (50km)

(Thru Concordia)
Morning- Drive north from Arica and cross border into Concordia, Peru. Continue driving north to Tacna.
Afternoon- Relax in Tacna. Prepare for Peru ride.
Evening- Fundraising event with local non-profit partners at La Taberna de 900. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation.


Saturday, Feburary 25th, 2006 (Day 2)


Rest Day in Tacna

Morning- Prepare for Peru ride. Pick up new riders.
Afternoon/Evening-
Visit the banos termales (thermal baths) nestled between the desert hills at Callentes. Explore the nightlife of Tacna.


Sunday, Feburary 26th, 2006 (Day 3)

Tacna to Ilo (140km)
(Thru La Yarada, Boca del Rio, Punta Colorado, Ite and Pta. Coles)
Morning-
Drive from Tacna to Boca del Rio (55km)
Afternoon-
Ride from Boca del Rio to Ilo. (85km)
Evening-
Fundraising event in Ilo. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation. Enjoy the evening!


Monday, Feburary 27th, 2006 (Day 4)

(Thru Fundicion, Pocoma, Punta de Bombon and Mejia)
Ilo to Mollendo (110km)

Morning/Afternoon- Ride from Ilo to Corio.(60km) Break for lunch and surf on the beautiful beaches around Corio. After lunch, continue the ride towards Mollendo. (50km)
Evening- Ride thru the Santuario Nacional Lagunas de Mejia (Mejia Lakes National Bird Sanctuary) on the way to Mollendo. Set up camp and explore the nightlife around the plazas.


Tuesday, Feburary 28th, 2006 (Day 5)

Mollendo to Camana (80km)

(Thru Islay, Matarani, Arantas and Quilca)
Morning- Invite the local community for breakfast at the Odyssey campsite.
Afternoon- Ride from Mollendo to Camana. Stop for a picnic lunch and surf on the beach.
Evening- Fundraising event in Camana with non-profit partners and the local community. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation. Enjoy the evening!


Wednesday, March 1st, 2006 (Day 6)

Drive from Camana to Puerto Caballas (460km)
(Thru San Gregorio, El Cardo, El Pedregal, Ocona, La Planchada, Pescadores, Cerro de Arena, Atico, La Punta, Punta de Lobos, Chala, Atiqupa, Tanaca, Yauca, Chavina, Alto Grande, Jaguay, Casa, Paroma, Vista Alegre, Nazca, Llipata, Piedras Gordas, Coyungo, and Maijo Chico)
Morning- Drive from Camana to Palpa (400km)
Afternoon- Enjoy lunch in Palpa. Ride a fun downhill along the Rio Grande from Palpa to Puerto Caballas (60km)
Evening- Invite the local community to join us for an 'international dinner' at the Odyssey campsite.


Thursday, March 2nd, 2006 (Day 7)

Puerto Caballas to Laguna Grande (135km)
(Thru Santa Rosa, Toma Luz, Casa Vieja, Rancheria, Punta Grande and Carhuas)
Morning
- Ride from Puerto Caballas to Casa Vieja. (55km) Enjoy lunch with the local community in Casa Vieja.
Afternoon- Ride from Casa Vieja to Laguna Grande (80km).
Evening- Set up camp and invite the local community to the Odyssey team for an 'international dinner'.


Friday, March 3rd, 2006 (Day 8)

Rest Day in Laguna Grande
Explore the Reserva Nacional de Paracas, a national reserve which is said to rival the Galapagos, with over 200 marine species along its 25km of coastline. Massive sand dunes and awe-inspiring rock formations continually draw tourists from around the world.


Saturday, March 4th, 2006 (Day 9)

Laguna Grande to Lunahuana (150km)
(Thru Paracas, San Andres, Pisco, San Clemente, Chincha Baja, Chincha Alta, San Pedro, Jahuay Cinco Cruces, San Vicente de Canete, Imperial and Nuevo Imperial)
Morning-
Ride from Laguna Grande to Tambo del Mora. (75km) Stop in Tambo del Mora for lunch and a surf.
Afternoon/Evening-
Continue riding to Lunahuana. (75km) Celebrate arrival in Lunahuana with the community and local non-profit partners at the Fiesta de la Uva, el Vinoy el Canotaje (Festival of Grapes, Wine and Rafting).


Sunday, March 5th, 2006 (Day 10)

Rest day in Lunahuana
Morning-
Enjoy the Fiesta de la Uva, el Vinoy el Canotaje (Festival of Grapes, Wine and Rafting). This festival, which takes place the first weekend in March, features free wine tasting and communal grape stomping, when the townspeople shed their shoes and jump into an enormous vat of grapes!
Afternoon-
Enjoy a refreshing and fun afternoon white water rafting and kayaking on the Rio Canete.
Evening- Invite local community to enjoy us for an 'international dinner' and evening celebration at our campsite.


Monday, March 6th, 2006 (Day 11)

Lunahuana to Bujama Baja (80km)
(Thru Imperial, San Vicente de Canete, San Luis, Cerro Azul, Huarco, Pta. Corriente and Asia)
Morning-
Rally the local community and invite them to join us on the short ride to San Vicente de Canete. (30km) Enjoy lunch in San Vicente de Canete.
Afternoon/Evening- Continue riding from San Vicente de Canete to Bujama Baja (50km) Enjoy a fundraising event on the beach with the community and llocal non-profit partners. Event will include: Tandem surf rides with the Odyssey team, a beach clean-up, dinner, music and dancing. Enjoy!


Tuesday, March 7th, 2006 (Day 12)

Bujama Baja to Lima (80km)
(Thru Mala, San Antonio, San Andres, Las Salinas, Chilca, Pucusana, Santa Maria del Mar, San Bartolo, Punta Negra, Punta Hermosa and Lurin)
Morning-
Enjoy a relaxing morning with swim and surf on the beaches around Bujama Baja.
Afternoon- Drive from Bujama Baja to Lima.
Evening- Fundraising event at the Bierhaus, an extremely popular nightspot in Lima. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation.


Wednesday, March 8th, 2006 (Day 13)

Lima to Trujillo (550km)
(Thru Ventanilla, Ancon, Puerto Chancay, Chancay, Cruz Blanca, Huaura, Santa Marta, Medio Mundo, Caleta Vidal, San Nicolas, Supe, Puerto Supe, Barranca, Pativilca, Paramonga, Gramadal, La Zorra, Huarmey, Culebras, Playa Grande, Casma, Tortuga, Chimbote, Chao and Puerto Morin)
Morning/Afternoon-
Drive from Lima to Trujillo.
Evening-
Fundraising event in Trujillo with non-profit partners and the local community. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation. Enjoy the evening!


Thursday, March 9th, 2006 (Day 14)

Trujillo to Puerto Chicama (40km)
(Thru Chicama, Chocope and Paijan)
Morning-
Rally local community to join us on the short ride to Puerto Chicama. (40km)
Afternoon/Evening-
Surf event with local surf club in Puerto Chicama, home to one of the longest left-hand waves in the world! Many world championships are held here, where rides of over 2km are not uncommon. Enjoy!
Evening-
Enjoy a relaxing evening in Puerto Chicama.


Friday, March 10th, 2006 (Day 15)

Puerto Chicama to Colan (325km)
(Thru Pacasmayo, Jequetepeque, Guadalupe, Chepen, Mocupe, Chiclayo, Lambayeque, Morrope, Piura and Paita)
Morning-
Drive from Puerto Chicama to Colan
Afternoon/Evening-
Give a "Seeds of Change" presentation at the Colan elementary school. Invite the community to join the Odyssey team at the beach for an afternoon of swimming, kayaking and tandem surfing. Enjoy an sunset dinner on the beach.


Saturday, Mar. 11, 2006 (Day 16)

Colan to Tumbles (220km)
(Thru Sullana, San Jacinto, Los Organos, Mancora, Punta Sal Grande, Canoas, Acapulco and Zorritos)
Morning/Afternoon-
Drive from Colan to Tumbles. Stop for lunch and a surf at Mancora, one of the northeasts many gorgeous beaches.
Evening-
Fundraising event in Tumbles with the local community and non-profit partners. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation. Enjoy the evening!

Tumbles, Peru to Huaquillas, Ecuador
