Chinandega to Tegucigalpa, Hondaurus (275km)

(Thru Rancherias, San Jose, Villa Salvadorita, Somotillo and Guasaute)
Drive from Chinandega to the border of Hondaurus. (75km) Continue driving north-west to Tegucigalpa. (140km) Set up camp and enjoy this first night in Hondaurus.

Trujillo to San Luis (55km)

Give a “Seeds of Change” presentation at the San Luis Elementary School. After presentation, invite children and teachers to an afternoon event at the beach with the Odyssey team. Event will include: Surf lessons, tandem surf and kayak rides with the Odyssey team, a beach clean-up and a picnic dinner.

San Luis to La Ceiba (45km)

Evening fundraising event with local non-profit partners. Event will include: Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit partners, dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and video and slide presentations. Rest Day in La Ceiba

Visit children in the local orphanage. Take them for rides on the tandem bikes, have giveaways, etc. Invite children to enjoy an afternoon event at the beach with tandem surf and kayak rides, soccer, music and a picnic lunch.


Monday, May 22nd, 2006

Ride from La Ceiba to Tela (65km)

Invite blind riders to join us on the ride from La Ceiba to Tela.
Enjoy an evening celebration at the Odyssey campsite.


Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006

Tela to Puerto Cortes (60km)

Give a "Seeds of Change" presentation at the Puerto Cortes Community Center. Presentation will include: A video and slide show, an interactive skit by the Odyssey team, tandem rides on the Odyssey bikes, games, and giveaways from the One World Odyssey and our sponsors. Enjoy a traditional dinner and dancing following the presentation.

Rest Day in Puerto Cortes

Invite disabled children and adults to experience tandem surfing and kayaking with the Odyssey team.

Puerto Cortes to Omoa (15km)

Invite local community to join us on the ride to Omoa. Celebrate arrival in Omoa with an afternoon/evening international celebration and surfing event.


Friday, May 26th, 2006

Drive from Omoa and cross border at Corinto (50km). Drive north thru Guatemala and into Belize. (450km)
