Las Palmas to Paso Canoa, and into Costa Rica (48 km)

(Thru San Pablo Viejo, Bagala, La Concepcion and Gariche)
Cross border into Costa Ride. Enjoy a quite evening in this small border town. Prepare for Costa Rica ride.

Paso Canoas to Golfito (55 km)

(Thru Canoas Abajo, La Cuesta, Laurel, Caracol, Sta. Lucia, Campina, Pueblo Nuevo and Mona)
Morning- Ride from Paso Canoas to Golfito.
Afternoon- Give a “Seeds of Change” presentation at the Golfito Community Center. After presentation, enjoy a pre-planned soccer game with locals followed by a picnic lunch with the community.
Evening- Enjoy the nightlife of Golfito.

Rest Day in Golfito

Morning/Afternoon- Pick up new guests and prepare for Costa Rica ride.
Evening- Fundraising event with local non-profit partners. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation.

Golfito to Puerto Jimenez (102 km)

(Thru Gamba, Briceno, Guaria, Peidras Blancas, Rincon and Puerto Escondido)
Morning/Afternoon- Ride from Golfito to Puerto Jimenez
Evening- Enjoy a sunset dolphin trip (US$35), or an evening snorkeling adventure before checking out the nightlife of Puerto Jimenez.


Friday, April 21st, 2006

Rest day in Puerto Jimenez.

Morning- Share the Odyssey adventure with children at the local orphanage and home for the disabled. Take residence on a tandem ride, have giveaways, etc
Afternoon- Invite residence to then join us for an afternoon event on the beach. Enjoy a picnic lunch and activities such as tandem sea kayaking and tandem surfing with the Odyssey team.
Evening- Small event with local non-profit partners at the Monochingo Bar and Grill. Event will include: Dinner, dancing, and a video and slide presentation by the Odyssey team. Enjoy the evening!


Saturday, April 22nd, 2006

Puerto Jimenez to Sirena (59 km)

(Thru Finca Ojo de Agua, Agua Buena, Carate and Madrigal)
Morning- Ride from Puerto Jimenez to Carate. Enjoy a picnic lunch and surf in Carate. After lunch, continue riding to Sirena.
Afternoon- Celebrate arrival in Sirena with celebration on the beach with local surfing club. Event will include: Tandem surf and tandem kayak rides with the Odyssey team, a beach clean-up, sunset dinner on the beach, music and dancing. Enjoy the evening.

Sirena to Agujitas (35 km)

(Thru San Pedrillo)
Morning- Rally riders to join us on the short coastal ride from Sirena to Agujitas.
Afternoon- Relax on the beaches of Agujitas
Evening- Invite local community to join us for soccer match followed by an ‘international dinner’ at the Odyssey campsite.

Rest Day in Agujitas

This small indigenous village lies at the southern end of Drake Bay and is in close proximity to Rio Claro National Wildlife Refuge (8km) Corcovado National Park (13km), both full of exotic marine and mammal life.

Agujitas to Uvita (78 km)

(Thru Drake, Guerra, Finca Florida, Sabalo, Portrero, Sierpe, Palmar Norte, Ojo de Agua, San Buenaventura, Coronado, Punta Mala, Charcara, Tortuga Abajo, Pinuela, Queb. Grande and Hda. Bahia)
Morning- Ride from Agujitas to Uvita
Afternoon/Evening- Visit local Uvita Secondary School. Give “Seeds of Change” presentation to students. After presentation, invite students, teachers and their families to enjoy an event on the beach. Event will include: Tandem surf and kayak rides with the Odyssey team, a beach clean-up, a traditional dinner and evening activities. Enjoy the evening!

Uvita to Dominical (17km)

(Thru Cambutal)
Morning- Rally local community to join us on this short fun ride to Dominical.
Afternoon- Visit local orphanage and home for the disabled. Share Odyssey adventure, give rides on tandem bicycles, have giveaways, etc
Evening- Surfing event with local non-profit partners. Event will include: A beach clean-up, tandem surf and kayak rides with the Odyssey team, a video and slide presentation, dinner, music and dancing.


Thursday, April 27th, 2006

Dominical to Quepos (45 km)

(Thru Hatillo, Platanillo, Matapalo, Savegre, Finca Llorona and Finca Bartollo)
Morning- Ride from Dominical to Quepos
Afternoon- Enjoy one of the many eco-adventures offered by local tour operators in Quepos including: river rafting, sea kayaking, canopy tours, horseback rides, snorkeling, scuba diving, and sailing.
Evening- Fundraising event with local non-profit partners. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation.

Quepos to Jaco (71 km)

(Thru Boca Viejo, Paquita, Rios, Damas, Vueltas, Parrita, Julieta, Finca La Palma, Queb. Amarilla and Pcohotal)
Morning- Ride from Quepos to Jaco
Afternoon- Give a “Seeds of Change” presentaion at the Jaco Community Center. After the presentation, enjoy an ‘international dinner’ and evening celebration with the local community.

Afternoon- Surfing event with local surf school. Event will include: A beach clean-up, tandem surf rides with the Odyssey team, surf lessons, food and live music.

Jaco to Esparza (69 km)

(Thru Herradura, Tarcoles, S. Jeronimo, Coyolar, Mastate, Orotina, San Mateo, Higuito and Jesus Maria)
Morning- Ride from Jaco to San Mateo. Give a “Seeds of Change” presentation at the San Mateo Community Center. After the presentation, enjoy lunch with the community.
Afternoon- Continue riding to Esparza.
Evening- Invite local community to enjoy an ‘international dinner’ and evening event at the Odyssey campsite.


Monday, May 1st, 2006

Esparza to Cuajiniquil (178 km)

Morning- Drive along the Pacific Coast Highway from Esparza to Cuajiniquil.
Afternoon/Evening- Give a “Seeds of Change” presentation at the Cuajiniquil High School. After presentation, enjoy a soccer match with students, followed by a traditional dinner with students, teachers and their families.

Cuanjiniquil to La Cruz (30km)

Morning/Afternoon- Surfing event with local surfing school and non-profit partners. Event will include: Tandem surf and tandem kayak rides with the Odyssey team, surf lessons, a beach clean-up, soccer, volleyball, and a picnic lunch on the beach. Rally riders to join us on the short ride to La Cruz.
Evening- Celebrate arrival in La Cruz with an event fundraising event with local non-profit partners. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation.
