Saturday, February 11th, 2006 (Day 1)
Avaroa, Bolivia to Antofagasta, Chile (370km)
(Ollague, Buenaventura, Carcote, Cebollar, Ascotan, Polapi, Conchi, Lasana, Chiuchiu, Calama, Cerritos Bayos, Sierra Gorda, Planta Aconcagua, Oficina Perseverancia, Oficina Anita, Carmen Alto, Cerrillos, Baquedano, Cuevitas, Latorre and Uribe)
Morning- Cross border from Avaroa, Bolivia into Ollague, Chile. (25km) Drive acoss the country from Ollague to Antofagasta. (345km)
Afternoon- Prepare for Chile ride in Antofagasta.
Evening- Relax in Antofagasta.
Sunday, February 12th, 2006 (Day 2)
Rest Day in Antofagasta
Morning/Afternoon- Prepare for Chile Ride. Pick-up new riders.
Evening- Fundraising event at the Iguana Pub and Disco Box with local non-profiit partners. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation. Enjoy the evening!
Monday, February 13th, 2006 (Day 3)
Antofagasta to Michilla (110km)
(Thru La Chimba, Cerro Moreno, Pampa and Hornitos)
Morning- Ride from Antofagasta to Hornitos (85km).
Afternoon-
Break for lunch and a refreshing surf at the Bahia de Mejilones. After lunch, continue riding to Michilla (25km).
Evening- Invite the local community to share an 'international dinner' at the Odyssey campsite.
Tuesday, February 14th, 2006 (Day 4)
Michilla to Caleta Urco (110km)
(Thru Punta Guasilla, Cobija, Caleta Buena, Punta Blanca, Caleta Boy, Tocopilla and Cabo Paquica)
Morning- Ride from Michilla to Caleto Uro.
Afternoon/Evening- Event on the beaches of Caleto Uro with non-profit partners and the local community. Event will include: A beach clean-up, tandem surf rides, music and a sunset dinner on the beach.
Wednesday, February 15th, 2006 (Day 5)
Caleta Uro to Chanabay (90km)
(Thru Guanillos, Peruana, Playa Ike-Ike, San Marcos, Punta Lobos and Rio Seco)
Morning- Ride from Caleta Uro to San Marcos. (65km) Give "Seeds of Change" presentation at San Marcos elementary school. Presentation will include: A video and slide show, educational games, tandem rides on the Odyssey bikes, games and giveaways. Enjoy lunch with the teachers, students and their families.
Afternoon- Ride from San Marcos to Chanabay. (25km) Give tandem surf rides at Caleta Loa.
Evening- Set up camp and enjoy an evening celebration at the campsite.
Thursday, February 16th, 2006 (Day 6)
Chanabay to Yacolen (65km)
(Thru Puerto Patillos, Yapes, Punta Chucumata, Playa Blanca and Bahia Chiquinata)
Morning- Ride from Chanabay to Yacolen.
Afternoon/Evening- Surf event with the Yacolen surf school. Event will include: Surf lessons for beginners, tandem surf rides with the Odyssey team, a beach clean-up, giveaways, music, dinner and dancing.
Friday, February 17th, 2006 (Day 7)
Yacolen to Iquique (12km)
Morning- Invite community to join us on the short ride to Iquique.
Afternoon- Celebrate arrival in Iquique with the community and local non-profit partners at the Playa Cavancha, Iquique's most popular beach. Event will inculde: Swimming and surfing, a beach clean-up, soccer and frisbee, music, and a picnic lunch. We plan to arrive early and play all day!
Evening- Relax at the campsite with our new friends.
Saturday, February 18th, 2006 (Day 8)
Rest Day in Iquique
Morning/Afternoon- Explore Iquique. Visit local orphanages. Give children rides on the tandems, have giveaways, etc. Paraglide is also available with Mane Tours.
Evening- Fundraising event with non-profit partners and the local community at the Pub 35mm. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit partners, dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentations. Enjoy the evening!
Sunday, February, 19th, 2006 (Day 9)
Iquique to Huara (55km)
(Thru Fuerte Baquedano)
Morning- Meet local bikers at the Plaza Prat and ride together from Iquique to Huara.
Afternoon- Give a "Seeds of Change" presentation at the Huara community center. Presentation will include: A video and slide show, educational games, tandem rides on the Odyssey bikes, games and giveaways. Enjoy a traditional lunch with the community.
Evening- Celebrate arrival at the campsite with an 'international dinner' prepared by the Odyssey team.
Monday, February 20th, 2006 (Day 10)
Huara to Tana (75km)
(Thru Negreiros)
Morning- Ride from Huara to Tana.
Afternoon- Give a "Seeds of Change" presentation at the Tana econdary school. Presentation will include: A video and slide show, educational games, tandem rides on the Odyssey bikes, games and giveaways. Share lunch with teachers and students. Give students rides on the tandem bikes, let them explore the support vehicle, have giveaways, etc.
Evening- Invite the community to share an 'international dinner' at the Odyssey campsite.
Tuesday, February 21st, 2006 (Day 11)
Tana to Camarones (60km)
Morning- Share breakfast in Tana with the local community.
Afternoon/Evening- Ride from Tana to Camarones. Visit residence in the Camarones home for the disabled. Give residence rides on the tandem bikes, have giveaways, etc. Invite them to join us for an afternoon at the beach with tandem surf rides, followed by an 'international dinner' at the Odyssey campsite.
Wednesday, February 22nd, 2006 (Day 12)
Camarones to Arica (97km)
Morning- Ride from Camarones to San Miguel de Azapa. (85km)
Afternoon-
Rally riders in San Miguel de Azapa to join us on the ride to Arica.(12km) Celebrate arrival in Arica with local community and non-profit partners at the Playa el Laucho. Event will include: Swimming and soccer, music, a picnic lunch, and a sandcastle contest.
Evening- Relax in Arica.
Thursday, February 23rd, 2006 (Day 13)
Rest Day in Arica
Morning/Afternoon- Celebrate Carnival Ginga! This parade features regional comparsas (groups of musicians and dancers) performing traditional precordillera and altiplano dances.
Evening- Fundraising event with the local community and non-profit partners at the Cafe 303. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation. Enjoy this last night in Chile!
Friday, February 24th, 2006 (Day 14)
Arica, Chile to Tacna, Peru (50km)
Morning- Drive north from Arica and cross border into Concordia, Peru. Continue driving north to Tacna.
Afternoon- Relax in Tacna. Prepare for Peru ride.
Evening- Fundraising event with local non-profit partners at La Taberna de 900. Event will include: Welcome and recognition of sponsoring organizations and guests, a substantial check donation to our non-profit organizing partners, as well as dinner and drinks, live music and dancing, and a video and slide presentation.

On to Peru..
