  Breaking News

This is where we'll keep a log of the news as it happens:

September 22, 2005: Back to our Roots

Well, after 15 months and $30,000 invested by founder Jamie Bianchini, we decided that we are going to cease operations of the One World Odyssey project indefinitely. The budget for the project is at least $500,000 and we simply were not getting the positive response we were hoping to get from sponsors and donors. Our only choice is to put the concept up for licensing and move on with our roots of Peace Pedaling.

Many of the same concepts of the One World Odyssey will be present in the next stage of Peace Pedalers (www.peacepedalers.org). We will have more bikes, surf boards and boogie boards, more filming and documentation, more media efforts, and visits with schools and community organizations. But it will all be toned down and with a more manageable budget that can be funded with personal funds of founder and a small group of existing sponsors helping with gear and services.

So if you know anyone who wants to take a great concept and take it out to market, find an event management company, big corporate sponsors, and run a cool event, do let us know. Until then, check us out at www.peacepedalers.org. See ya on the road!
